Webinar: Creating A Shared Vision
September 26, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm CDT
Creating Shared Vision
Attracting & Keeping Your Strongest Leaders
There’s a statement I find hard to believe… I hear it when a church planter tells me that they don’t have any strong leaders. Now, if the church is brand new I might possibly believe him. But when the church is older – I find it unthinkable. Why? Leaders attract leaders! Leaders also make new leaders! And every church planter I know is a strong leader! So – “I don’t have any strong leaders” is a statement I find hard to believe. My hunch… strong leaders are there, but they’re not being fostered, nurtured, cultivated, and courted appropriately. So, how do you attract and keep strong leaders? The best way I’ve witnessed is by way of inviting them into the heart of the project – sharing with them that one thing that church planters obsess about the most… the vision!
This webinar (over lunch) will unpack the mindset needed for Shared Vision, and the tools required to attract and keep your strongest leaders! And the best news is that once those helpful leaders are on board – envisioning the future alongside you – that’s when church plants start to hum! Shared vision is the best vision.
“A shared vision is not an idea. It is not even an important idea such as freedom. It is, rather, a force in people’s hearts, a force of impressive power. It may be inspired by an idea, but once it goes further – if it is compelling enough to acquire the support of more than one person – then it is no longer an abstraction. It is palpable. People begin to see it as if it exists. Few, if any, forces in human affairs are as powerful as shared vision.” Peter Senge, The Fifth Discipline
